Browsing the site
Every billboard, grade, price, and score you see is public — nothing about you is required to browse the map, board pages, or methodology. We don't use tracking cookies or ad trackers, and there are no accounts or passwords anywhere on Perch.
If you submit a form
A few forms on the site ask for your name and email (and sometimes phone): "Submit real pricing," "Flag this score," and the expansion-city waitlist. What you enter is sent to a private inbox we use to follow up with you — nothing else. Specifically:
- It is not sold, rented, or shared with advertisers.
- It is not automatically forwarded to the billboard's owner or broker — we review it and follow up ourselves.
- A price submission may, once verified, replace a modeled price on the board's public page — your name and contact details are never published, only the price and an optional attribution you provide us separately.
What's stored in your browser
The board-comparison shortlist ("Add to compare") is saved in your browser's local storage so it survives a page reload. It never leaves your device and we never see it.
Deleting your information
If you've submitted a form and want your information deleted, email perchbillboards@gmail.com and we'll remove it.
Billboard data
The billboard locations, permits, traffic counts, and demographic figures on this site come from public government sources (Illinois DOT, U.S. Census) and OpenStreetMap — see Methodology for the full breakdown. None of that is personal data about you as a visitor.
